dc.description.abstract"Wilhelm Wundt originated systematic experimental psychological research and in 1878 established the first Psychological Laboratory at the University of Leipzig. It was there that he and his colleagues initiated highly industrious research activities and within a short period of time they produced a host of publications. Two traditional academic professions closely observed the research findings of the new scientific discipline: psychiatrists, seeking to learn more about the functioning of the normal human mind and legal scholars, looking for psychological methods and techniques to identify the perpetrators of crimes under investigation."(...)pl
