Wojska Obrony Terytorialnej Szwajcarii – wybrane aspekty

Abstract

Armia terytorialna w Szwajcarii jest istotnym instrumentem polityki bezpieczeństwa państwa. Rozwój armii terytorialnej oraz podnoszenie zdolności obronnych przyczyniały się do umocnienia pozycji Szwajcarii na arenie międzynarodowej i odstraszania potencjalnego przeciwnika. Szwajcarskie doświadczenia (np. budowanie tożsamości regionalnej, aktywizacja społeczności lokalnej do obrony „Małej Ojczyzny”) zostały wykorzystane przy budowie Wojsk Obrony Terytorialnej Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej.

The Territorial Army of Switzerland is the important instrument of the state security policy. The development of the territorial army and the improvement of the defense capacity contributed to strengthening Switzerland’s international position and deter potential opponents. Swiss experiences (eg. building a regional identity and activating the local community to defend the „Little Motherland”) were used in the construction of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Republic of Poland.
