By selecting the films whose focus is on the critical situations, like initiation and death, she examines the cinematic world of Roeg and its ambivalence that is present at various levels. Ambivalence is the most adequate word to describe his works. Drawing on the opinions of other film critics and on her own inquiry, she says that strategic disorientation (the term used by Andrzej Zalewski within the context of post-modernist cinema) is Roeg's directing method, which puts him in the ranks of directors whose work preceded postmodernist cinema.plUznanie autorstwa-Użycie niekomercyjne-Bez utworów zależnych 3.0 Polskainitiation and deathRoeg's Nicolas obsessionsFilmoznawstwoInicjacja i śmierć.
