Photography is a medium of peculiar exploitation. Every day, about 95 million photos are shared on Instagram. The text analyzes photographs of selected cities, with particular emphasis on places considered attractive. As a result of the research, author shows how the photography of architecture can emphasize or eliminate its primary features. He also analyzes the context surrounding the buildings, which, also exposed in photographs, infl uences the perception and quality of the buildings’ image. Author also considers an ethical dilemma regarding the quality and beauty of photography and the architecture presented in it.
