Abstract
Artykuł przedstawia koncepcyjne założenia budowy, rozwoju i funkcjonowania Wojsk
Obrony Terytorialnej (WOT), jako piątego rodzaju Sił Zbrojnych RP. Ponadto precyzuje kluczowe
terminy i definicje dotyczące WOT, a także rys historyczny tworzenia się oraz rozwoju
tej formacji na przestrzeni dziejów. The article presents the conceptual assumptions of the construction, development and
operation of the Territorial Defence Forces (TDF) as a fifth type of the Polish Armed
Forces. Moreover, it describes key terms and definitions concerning TDF and historical
line of generation and developing TDF throughout the history.
